What a beautiful place! I haven’t seen the other islands, (yet) but I will definitely return to Kauai. We were so packed with activities, trying to get everything in, that I’m sure the next time will be more relaxing. It was great for the ol’ camera trigger finger though. The photo above is of Ke’e Beach on the north shore. This is as far as you can drive on the highway before the Na Pali coast, which is only accessible by trail, air or sea.

This photo was taken at the Kalamaku Lu’au at Kilohana, Kauai. This lu’au is more of a theatrical presentation than a traditional lu’au. This image was taken at the presentation of the pig, which was cooked underground.

Taken from the backseat of a Jack Harter tour helicopter, this image shows my beautiful wife Karen and Chickie gawking at the beauty of the Na Pali coast on the north shore of Kauai. If you have the opportunity, a helicopter ride on Kauai is an unbelievable and unforgettable experience.

This is Spouting Horn on the south shore of Kauai. They call it Spouting Horn because there is another small hole that only blows air causing a loud moaning sound. It’s a little startling when you’re close to it.

This is a seasonal waterfall from a small creek that runs along side the trail at Queen’s Bath on the north shore.
